I am Mary Jane Howie, a professional engineer in Armstrong, BC. I studied civil engineering at UBC and started my career at Shell Canada.
Engineering taught me to map a system before I change it, write the plan down, and measure the result. I run marketing work the same way.
I have built websites since 2012. The sites I own and manage carried 1.3 million pageviews in 2025. I test on my own sites first, so a mistake costs me and not you.
I work alone on purpose. You talk to the person who does the work.

How I work
Map it, build it, measure it
I start by writing down what you already have. Every tool, every hand-off, and every step somebody does by hand. That document is the deliverable, not a slide about it.
Then I change one thing at a time and check what it did. A system nobody can explain is a system nobody can fix, so the plan stays written down as it changes.
You own everything I build. The accounts are yours, the code is yours, and the document that explains it is yours.
